For a panel initially wired for the XS9 variant, the XS230SAPAL2 requires a mechanical change: the cable entry (2 m flying leads vs M12 connector) and the larger M30 thread (vs a narrower plastic block form factor). The sensing gap is four times deeper, so a drop-in without rewiring or repositioning is not possible. Choose the stainless part only if the environment demands it.
