How it stacks up against XS4P30PC410D
The XS4P30PC410D is a 30 mm barrel sensor with a 15 mm sensing distance and a 4-pin M12 connector (vs. the XS4P18PA370's 18 mm barrel, 8 mm range, and 2 m cable). Both are unshielded PNP, but the larger barrel means a different mounting hole. You cannot drop the 18 mm sensor into a panel cut for 30 mm without an adapter, and the sensing range is nearly half. If the original spec called for a 30 mm body, the XS4P18PA370 is not a mechanical swap. Electrically both are 3-wire PNP, so the wiring is the same. But the XS4P30PC410D offers both NO and NC outputs, while this sensor is NO only. For a direct replacement, you would need to verify the output configuration needed.

This sensor carries UL, CSA, and CE approvals. California Proposition 65 warning applies (DINP and DIDP).
The 18 mm barrel fits standard 18 mm mounting holes. Unshielded means no required metal-free zone around the face, so it can be mounted flush against steel without derating the sensing distance (still 8 mm).
