Integration notes
The Square D XS4P30PA370 is an OsiSense inductive proximity sensor in a 30 mm plastic barrel, unshielded, with a rated sensing distance of 15 mm and a PNP normally-open output. Supply range is 12 to 48 VDC, sourcing 200 mA continuous. Enclosure is IP68 and NEMA 3/4X/6P/12/13, suiting washdown and submersion environments. Threaded barrel construction with PPS sensing face; cable exit is 2 m PVR, 3-wire. Switching frequency is 1000 Hz, adequate for moderate-speed part detection. The unshielded design allows flush mounting in metal if the non-detection zone is respected — derate sensing distance per the standard factor for unshielded sensors when mounting in steel. Approvals include UL, CSA, and CE, covering most industrial machinery and panel certification requirements.
