The Telemecanique XS512B1DBL2 is an OsiSense tubular inductive proximity sensor in a 12mm threaded nickel-plated brass barrel, flush-mountable, with a 2mm sensing face of PPS. It detects ferrous and non-ferrous metal targets at up to 2mm, switching at 4000 Hz with a normally-closed output. The 12–48 VDC operating voltage range covers common industrial supplies, and the IP68 enclosure handles washdown areas or occasional submersion. The 2m PVR cable simplifies wiring in tight panels.
For a process loop, the 4000 Hz switching frequency keeps the dead time minimal when sensing a moving target—think valve stem position or conveyor part presence. The 2 mm flush mount means it can be installed in metal without derating the sensing distance, which simplifies bracket design.
This is a two-wire DC sensor with a 2 m cable. Mount flush into a tapped 12 mm hole; the sensing face is PPS.
