The Square D XS518B1MAU20 is a cylindrical inductive proximity sensor from the OsiSense XS5 series. It accepts a supply voltage of 24‑240 V AC or DC, making it usable across panels with mixed control voltages without stocking separate AC and DC variants. This form factor is distinct from flat‑block sensors such as the XS9D111A2M12, which has an 80×80×26 mm plastic housing and an M12 connector. Verify panel cutout diameter and connector type before substituting – they are not mechanically interchangeable and their sensing ranges differ (5 mm shielded vs 40 mm unshielded). No rewiring will make a flat block fit this bore.
