4 mm flush sensing in a 12 mm barrel
The XS612B1PAL5 is a 12 mm diameter inductive proximity sensor with a 4 mm flush sensing distance. Flush mounting means the face can be level with the surrounding metal without false triggers — useful when the sensor sits in a drilled block or bracket where side metal is unavoidable. Output is PNP normally open, 200 mA load, switching at 2500 Hz. The 12-48 VDC supply range covers standard 24 VDC control loops found on most PLC input cards.
Washdown and thermal limits
IP68/69K enclosure means the sensor body and cable entry survive high-pressure washdown and steam cleaning — a common spec for food-and-beverage or pharmaceutical conveyor lines. The -25 to 70°C operating range covers both cold storage and warm production floors. The nickel-plated brass body and polyphenylene sulfide sensing face resist corrosion and chemical exposure typical in washdown zones. The 5 m cable gives flexibility in routing to a junction box or directly to the controller.
