What this sensor brings
The XS618B1MAL10: Inductive proximity sensor from the XS6 series, cylindrical 24mm diameter, nickel-plated brass housing. Flush mount shielded design, so it sits in a metal panel without losing range. Supply voltage spans 24-240V AC or DC – same sensor works on 24V control logic or 120V line power. Output is 2-wire normally open, bare wire terminated, 10m cable prewired. Sensing distance is 4-8mm, rated for the specified supply voltage range. IP68 and IP69K seals handle washdown and temporary submersion. Operating temperature -13 to 158 °F.
Mounting & wiring notes
Flush mount in steel without headroom penalty – the 8mm shielded range holds true. 24mm diameter calls for a 24.5mm hole if through-panel mounting. 62mm overall height. Nickel-plated brass body resists corrosion in damp panels. 2-wire NO output is polarity independent on DC; wire it like a standard two-wire proximity. No separate DC common required.
