Fit and function – what the ratings mean
The XS618B4PAM12: Series XS6, cylindrical 24 mm – shielded face, so flush mounting into metal works without derating the sensing distance. PNP normally-open output, 3-wire DC, mates with standard 4-pin M12 cordsets. Sensing range 8 to 15 mm on mild steel; the minimum figure is the guaranteed operating distance under worst-case temperature and voltage. Supply 12–48 V DC, protected against overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit – no external fuse needed on the sensor leg. IP67 and IP69K rated. Brass housing, nickel-plated. Indicator light included.
