Sensor overview
Telemecanique brand XS7C40PC440R5 inductive proximity sensor rated for a 15 mm shielded sensing distance. Output is PNP, configurable as NO or NC. Supply range 12–48 VDC, maximum load current 200 mA. Switching frequency 1000 Hz. Per the datasheet, the turret head can be rotated to five positions for cable exit flexibility.
Mounting and wiring notes
Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal. Plastic housing, 40 mm x 40 mm x 117 mm. Enclosure rated NEMA 4/6P/12 and IP67 for washdown and outdoor use. Connection via 5-pin mini connector, standard pinout for PNP sensors: brown (V+), blue (V-), black (NO output), white (NC output), gray (test/aux). Strip length per connector specification; verify polarity before energizing.
