Product details

The XS7D1A1DAL5 is a Telemecanique Size D block-style inductive proximity sensor — 80 mm wide, 26 mm deep, 103 mm tall — with a 40 mm front sensing range. It runs on 12 to 24 VDC, switches at 100 Hz, and gives you a 2-wire normally-open output. The PBT housing is rated NEMA 1/4X/12 and IP68, so it can handle washdown or wet environments. LED indication is built in, which helps when you're troubleshooting on site.

The 40 mm sensing distance is measured from the front face; you get that reach with a standard ferrous target. At 100 Hz it can keep up with moderate-speed lines — think conveyor rollers or valve position sensing — but don't push it past that if you're counting fast passes. The 2-wire NO output simplifies wiring (one pair back to the PLC or relay) but watch the minimum load current of 1.5 mA — it needs that to switch cleanly, so your load can't be a dry contact or a high-impedance input. At 12-24 VDC it'll work on most standard control voltages; the 5-meter PVR cable gives you some reach.
