The XS8C4A1DPG13 is a rectangular-body inductive proximity sensor from the XS8 series, delivering a 20 mm shielded sensing range on mild steel targets. The IP65/IP67/IP69K rating means the housing and cable entry survive high-pressure washdown and steam cleaning — a requirement for food-and-beverage or pharmaceutical packaging lines where the sensor sits in the spray zone. The output is programmable for NO or NC operation, and the 12-48V DC supply range covers standard 24V control loops without a separate regulator. Maximum load current is 100 mA, which drives a PLC input or a small relay directly.
