The XS8D1A1PAM12 is a rectangular shielded inductive proximity sensor from the Telemecanique XS8 series. It detects ferrous targets at up to 60 mm and delivers a PNP normally open output on a 3-wire M12 connector. Power is 12–24 V DC; the body is PBT with an IP67 seal. Overload, reverse polarity, and short circuit protection are built in.
Mounting & Wiring Notes
Rectangular body: 80 mm × 80 mm face, 26 mm depth. Shielded construction allows flush mounting in metal without derating the 60 mm sensing range. The M12 male connector (4-pin) supplies 12–24 V DC to PNP output; wiring is a standard 3-wire configuration. No indicator lamp is included — confirm polarity at commissioning.
