Integrator overview
The XS8E1A1MBL01U20: Unshielded rectangular block sensor with a 15 mm front sensing range, normally-closed output on a 2-wire AC supply from 24 to 240 VAC. Switching frequency of 2000 Hz is notably high for an AC proximity sensor — it keeps up with fast indexing or part counting on a production line where a DC sensor isn't in the BOM. Rated IP67 and NEMA 1/4X/12, so it handles washdown and dusty environments. The pigtail terminates in a 3-pin Micro U20 connector — 0.1 m cable, convenient for quick replacement without rewiring the entire harness.
Two-wire AC sensor means a straightforward series connection with the load. No polarity worries, but the minimum load current is listed at 5 mA — stay above that to avoid false triggering on high-impedance inputs.
