Sensor in a tight spot
XS8G12PC440 is a side-sensing inductive prox that drops into a 12 × 26 × 40 mm pocket. Unshielded, so it can see through a plastic tank wall or a non-metallic guard. 4 mm sensing distance at 1000 Hz — quick enough for small parts on a pick-and-place or a conveyor diverter. PNP output gives you both NO and NC on a 4-wire cable; handy for fail-safe or dual-threshold logic. Runs 10 to 58 VDC, so you can land it on a 12V, 24V, or even a 48V bus without a converter. 2 m PVR cable, IP67, plastic body. That wide voltage range and the side-sensing orientation make it a solid spare for mixed-voltage panels.
