What this sensor brings to a retrofit panel
The XS9C4A1PCG13 is a block-style inductive proximity sensor from the Osisense XS9 family, built for flush mounting in tight spaces — the 40 x 40 x 117 mm footprint slides into existing cutouts without reworking the bracket. It outputs PNP discrete signals on 1 NO + 1 NC channels, running on 12-24 VDC with reverse polarity protection, so it mates directly to a 24 VDC PLC input module without a level shifter.
Sensing range and environmental sealing
Sensing distance spans 15 to 40 mm — enough to detect ferrous targets through a thin non-ferrous window or behind a flush panel face. The PBT enclosure carries IP67, IP65, and IP69K ratings, meaning it survives high-pressure washdown and steam cleaning on food or beverage lines without a secondary cover.
Flush-mountable — no derating needed when installed in a steel panel — and the 5-position turret head lets you rotate the sensing face to one of five orientations without loosening the body. Termination is via screw-clamp terminals accepting up to 1.5 mm² wire (4-wire interface), so a standard slot screwdriver and a few minutes are all it takes to land the field wiring.
Lifecycle and compliance documentation
Carries CE, UL, CCC, and CSA approvals, plus shock/vibration ratings per IEC 60068-2-6 and IEC 60068-2-27 — documentation for plant-level compliance audits is available with the shipment.
