Overview
The XS9D111A2M12 is a Schneider OsiSense XS flat-form inductive proximity sensor rated for a 40 mm sensing range on a 15...36 V DC supply, housed in a flush-mountable 80 x 80 x 26 mm PBT body. It connects via an M12 4-pin male connector, carries IP67 double insulation, and holds CE, CSA-UL, and Ecolab certifications for washdown and industrial environments.
Selection and sizing
The 40 mm sensing range and flush-mount capability mean this sensor can be embedded into a metal panel without the derating typical of shielded cylindrical sensors, simplifying installation in tight machine frames. Its switching frequency is <= 100 Hz, so it is suited for moderate-speed object detection rather than high-speed counting lines.
