What the buyer actually gets
The Telemecanique XSAV11373L10EX is an M30 tubular inductive proximity sensor built for rotation monitoring in hazardous areas: a 10 mm sensing distance, a speed window of 6 to 150 counts per minute, an NC output, and a 10 m cable pigtail for remote termination in a safe-side junction box.
EX variant vs the non-EX panel default
The XSAV11373EX is the same M30 rotation sensor stripped of the hazardous-area approval, so the housing and the 10 mm Sn line up across the two order codes. The decision between the two for a panel that was originally specified around XSAV11373EX comes down to certification, not the cutout or the wiring: the EX suffix on XSAV11373L10EX is what the survey file is buying, and the 10 m cable pigtail on this code gives the installer the lead length needed to land in a safe-side enclosure away from the classified zone.
Field notes for the commissioning bench
Rotation-monitoring sensors in the XSAV family detect a target once per revolution and integrate the period, so the 6 to 150 counts per minute window defines the operating band a process has to stay inside — below 6 c/mn the output drops, above 150 c/mn the device will not follow. For a slow conveyor or rotary-table index, verify the slowest expected shaft speed against the 6 c/mn floor before the cable is glanded and the cover goes on.
