Integrator field note
The XSAV11801EX is a cylindrical M30 inductive proximity sensor – 2-wire AC/DC, NC output, 0-8 mm operating zone. The 9-second run-up delay at power-up is deliberate: it masks inrush on systems that also count a rotation stop after energising. Switching frequency tops at 100 Hz, so minimum target dwell is 10 ms; slower than a standard prox, but sized for rotation-monitoring applications where target speeds are modest.
Lifecycle & sourcing posture
The XSAV11801EX is classified as current lifecycle in the OsiSense XS range.
Mounting & wiring checklist
M30 x 1.5 locknut or weld-in boss; tighten to 20 N·m max (brass body, no thread locker needed). Cable is 2 x 0.34 mm², 2 m long – route outside the sensing face to avoid metal debris pickup. The 2-wire AC/DC circuit sinks 5-200 mA DC or 5-350 mA AC; voltage drop ≤5.7 V at closed state. Residual leakage ≤1.5 mA open – enough to hold off a PLC input in sink mode but may pull a relay that requires >1.5 mA keep-alive. Test the load impedance before commissioning for non-standard drops.
