Rotation-monitoring sensor, not a general-purpose prox
The XSAV11801TF is an inductive proximity sensor from the OsiSense XS series, purpose-built for rotation monitoring. The adjustable frequency range of 6 to 150 cycles per minute means it can be set to detect a rotating target (like a shaft or cam) and ignore slower or faster motion — so it won't false-trigger on normal machine vibration when the shaft is turning at speed. This is not the sensor you grab for simple part-presence or metal-sensing jobs. Its wiring is 2-wire NC, and the 9-second run-up delay at power-up prevents nuisance alarms while the machine starts. If your application is a conveyor jam or a pump overspeed shutdown, this sensor fits that bill.
What the ratings mean for fit
The M30 threaded body (flush mountable) goes into a standard 30mm hole. The 10mm sensing distance is rated for flush mounting in metal — you can embed it in a steel bracket without derating the range. At 24–240 VAC/DC it will work on whatever control voltage the panel already feeds, no separate power supply needed.
Lifecycle and sourcing
Sourcing is straightforward: quoted to order. If your line is down and you need one in-hand fast, the sensor is a standard catalog item; provide the exact order code and quantity and we'll get you a lead time. The nickel-plated brass body and PPS front face hold up well in machining coolant environments — just watch the 70°C max operating temp.
