Block-style inductive proximity sensor — key ratings and what they mean for fit
The Telemecanique XSDC607139 is a block-style unshielded inductive proximity sensor with a rated sensing distance range of 30 to 60 mm, a 2-wire normally open output, and switching frequency of 20 Hz. The 20 Hz switching frequency means it's suited for slow-moving targets — think conveyor jams, valve position, or fill-level detection — not high-speed counting or spindle monitoring. The 100 mA maximum load current limits direct drive to a PLC input or small relay; don't expect to power a contactor coil or solenoid directly. The IP67 / NEMA 4/6/12/13 enclosure gives it washdown and outdoor capability, so it holds up in food processing, wash bays, or dusty environments without an extra protective housing. Supply voltage spans 12 to 48 VDC, covering common 24V and 48V rail systems without a separate regulator.
