20 m through-beam with IP69K washdown rating
The Telemecanique XUB2AKSNM12T is a cylindrical M18 threaded photoelectric sensor from the XUB series, configured as a through-beam emitter with a 20 m sensing range. That range covers long-axis alignment on conveyors or pallet-handling lanes where a reflector or separate receiver is mounted at the opposite end. The 1 msec response time and 500 Hz switching frequency keep up with fast-moving discrete parts — small cartons or bottles on a high-speed line — without missing a count. The IP65/IP67/IP69K enclosure rating means the sensor body and optics withstand high-pressure, high-temperature washdown cycles common in food-and-beverage or pharmaceutical lines. The PBT case and scratch-resistant lens add mechanical durability against caustic cleaning agents and incidental contact from passing product. Double insulation eliminates the need for a separate ground connection in the control circuit.
Supply and output ratings
Runs on 12-24V DC only, drawing up to 100 mA on the load side. The 4-pin M12 quick-disconnect (straight male) mates directly to standard M12 cordsets — no pigtail splicing, which simplifies replacement on a live panel. The right-angle lens orientation lets the emitter mount flush against a bracket while the beam exits perpendicular to the barrel axis, useful in tight machine frames where axial mounting would interfere with guarding.
