What this sensor does for your BOM line
The XUB2ANBNM12R is a 15 m through-beam photoelectric sensor with an NPN normally-closed output. It fires a beam across a gap; when the beam is blocked, the output opens. That NC logic is common for fail-safe detection where a broken wire or lost power drops the output safe. It's rated for 100 mA continuous load at 12-24 VDC, with a 1 ms on/off response time. The housing is a threaded PBT barrel with a PMMA lens, IP67 and NEMA 4X/12 rated. Comes with an M12 4-pin male connector fixed. Three wires — typical brown (V+), blue (V-), black (output). Includes the mounting nut.
NPN vs PNP — which output fits your panel
Physical dimensions and connector are identical across the XUB family — same thread, same 15 m range, same M12 pinout. Only the output stage differs.

Approvals in-hand: UL, CSA, CE. No PCN on file yet.
Mounting and wiring quick check
IP67 rated — fine for wash-down areas and outdoors as long as the connector is properly mated. NEMA 4X/12 covers indoor dust and dripping water.
