The Telemecanique XUB2APANM12R is a tubular photoelectric through-beam detector from the XUB series, built for 15 m sensing range at 12 to 24 VDC. Output is PNP, normally open, rated for 100 mA maximum load current. The M12 4-pin DC micro male connector mates directly to standard quick-disconnect cables, saving panel wiring time.
Response time is 1 millisecond on/off, with a switching frequency of 500 Hz — fast enough for counting or registration applications on a moderate-speed line. The 15 m through-beam range is the key selection parameter: if the emitter-receiver pair can be aligned across that distance, the sensor will see through dust, mist, or moderate misalignment. Enclosure is NEMA 4X/12 and IP67, so it handles washdown and outdoor installation. The PBT housing is lighter than the nickel-plated brass used on some older Telemecanique tubulars, but the thread form is the same 18 mm standard.
