The Telemecanique XUB2APBNM12R is an 18 mm threaded tubular photoelectric through-beam sensor from the XUB series, built with a PBT housing and rated NEMA 4X/12 and IP67. It provides a 15 m sensing range using a front-facing emitter and receiver pair, switching at 1 ms on/off with a 500 Hz frequency. Operating on 12 to 24 VDC, the sensor delivers a PNP output (normally closed configuration) capable of switching up to 100 mA. Connection is via an M12 4-pin DC micro male connector, three wires.
Fit and integration notes
The 18 mm threaded barrel mounts with the included nut, and the M12 connector mates directly to standard M12 cordsets. The PNP output is compatible with most PLC inputs; verify polarity on the 3-wire connection before powering. The 1 ms response time suits high-speed counting or detection on fast-moving lines, while the 15 m range covers long conveyor spans or warehouse aisle monitoring. IP67 and NEMA 4X/12 ratings allow washdown environments and outdoor use.
