The XUB5ANANM12 is a current-production M18 diffuse photoelectric sensor from the Telemecanique XU line. It's a straight-face NPN light-ON unit with a 600 mm maximum sensing distance, fed from 12-24V DC through a built-in 4-pin M12 connector. The cylindrical PBT body carries IP65, IP67, and IP69K ratings, so it's speccable into washdown zones where lower-IP parts won't hold up. If your BOM calls for XUB5ANANM12, the XU2M18AP20D won't drop in: wiring is NPN vs PNP, the sensing method is different, and the reflector/target requirement changes the installation completely. No one cross-reference exists; stick to the diffuse model unless you're re-engineering the station.
