The XUB5BPBNL2: A cylindrical diffuse photoelectric sensor from the XU series, using an infrared LED. The SCR output is normally closed, so the load is powered when no object is present and opens on detection. That makes it a drop-in for legacy PLC circuits expecting a solid-state switch, but be aware of the typical thyristor leakage current — confirm your input card's off-state threshold. Sensing distance is 600 mm on a diffuse reflector, enough for medium-range presence detection on opaque objects. The 2 m cable is pre-wired, saving the connector hunt. Rated IP65, so it handles washdown zones, and the -25 to 55 °C range covers most indoor industrial environments.
