What it is and what it does
The Telemecanique XUBLAPCNM12 is an M18 cylindrical through-beam photoelectric sensor with a 100m sensing range using a red laser, PNP output, and IP67 enclosure. Runs on 12 to 24 VDC, draws 100 mA load, and switches in 0.4 ms at 1500 Hz—fast enough for high-speed object detection on a packaging or conveyor line. Programmable NO/NC discrete output via the 3-wire interface; set the function to match the safety or logic requirement without an extra relay. Red laser transmission (type of transmission: red laser) gives a tight, visible beam for precise alignment over the full 100 m.
Construction and environmental fit
Cylindrical M18 body, 18 mm dia x 64 mm long, in polybutylene terephthalate (PBT)—rated IP67 for washdown areas and dusty environments. Approvals: UL, CSA, CE. The body material and sealing copes with coolant and light abrasion common in automotive and packaging floors.
