Commissioner’s note: through beam source, active, universal voltage
The XUK0ARCTL2T: Approvals include UL, CSA, and CE, covering most North American and European installation requirements.
Not a drop-in for tubular sensors like XU2M18MA230WR
A tubular through beam detector such as the XU2M18MA230WR (15 m, M18 threaded, IP67) will not bolt directly into a bracket cut for this subcompact rectangular block. The XUK0ARCTL2T’s 30 m range gives it more headroom for dusty environments or longer spans, but the mounting footprint and cable entry are different. If your panel was wired for a tubular sensor, expect to swap the bracket and perhaps the cable gland; the same universal voltage wiring (24–240 VAC/VDC) will carry over. For new designs, the XUK0ARCTL2T offers a longer reach and a more compact face than the M18 tubular family, but the receiver must also be a matching XUK series unit to align the optical axis.
What the ratings mean for fit
The NEMA 4/4X/12/13 and IP65 enclosure covers indoor washdown, hose-down, and dust-laden environments, but not submersion. The PBT lens housing is PMMA; keep solvents away from the face.
