The XUK5ANANM12: ON DELAY, OFF DELAY, SOLID STATE OUTPUT operating mode means the sensor has built-in timing functions—useful when you need to ignore brief interruptions or stretch a pulse for a PLC with a slow scan. The standard 100 mA load current is enough to drive a micro relay or a PLC input directly, but watch that you're not sharing the supply with a VFD; isolate the sensor's 12-24 VDC rail if you see glitches on the output.
Mounting and wiring
Mounting is straightforward: rectangular body with through-hole slots for M4 bolts. The 4-pin micro DC connector mates with standard M12 cordsets—pin 1 brown (+V), pin 3 blue (0V), pin 4 black (NPN output), pin 2 white is normally unused on diffuse. Operating temperature -13 to 131°F; if you are mounting near a steam vent or an oven, add a heatshield. The PBT body handles most industrial solvents, but keep it away from strong acids.
