Cable vs. connector: picking the right variant
The closest functional sibling is XUK5APBNM12: same 1 m PNP NC diffuse, same plastic block, same approvals — but with a 4-pin M12 micro DC connector instead of a 2 m cable. That difference changes field service: the cable version is one piece, no additional connector to fail, but a cable cut means replacing the whole sensor. The M12 variant lets you swap the sensor head without pulling new wire, handy in tight-raceway panels. Electrical ratings are identical. Other series peers (XUK5APANL2, XUK5APANM12) use NO output logic. If your safety circuit expects a dark-on signal, those are the wrong part — stick with NC.
