What it is and what it does
XUX1APANM12 is a retroreflective photoelectric sensor in the Telemecanique XUX family. Emitter and receiver share one housing; a reflector across the gap bounces the beam back. Range is 14 meters, so you can cover a conveyor aisle or warehouse rack without a separate receiver head. Output is PNP 3-wire, normally open — a direct drop-in for most PLC digital inputs. Switching load up to 100 mA at 12-24 VDC. Response time 2 ms, so it handles parts flying by at moderate line speeds. Enclosure is IP67 / NEMA 1/3/4/13 — dust-tight and hose-down safe. Body is rectangular PBT, compact enough for tight machine frames. Four-pin micro DC connector; no pigtail to trim.
