What it does and where it fits
This XUX2APANM12R from Square D's Telemecanique line is a compact photoelectric through-beam detector with a 40 m sensing range. Output is PNP normally open, switching at 250 Hz, handling up to 100 mA. It runs on 12 to 24 VDC, and the M12 4-pin male connector makes for a fast swap. Don't plan to drive a load directly—100 mA max is meant for a PLC input or a small interface relay. For coil loads, buffer it.
