The XUY457NB3P2 is a current-production photoelectric sensor from Schneider Electric's XU series, shipped in box packaging with a fixed 2-meter cable for direct wiring. No connector to crimp — just strip and terminate at the control cabinet, which suits retrofit or panel builds where M8 pigtails add an extra junction.
How It Compares to the Connector Variants
The functional peers XUYFLNEP60120 (120mm through-beam) and XUYFANEP60030 (30mm through-beam) share the XU platform and 12–24 V supply, but both terminate with an M8 connector. The XUY457NB3P2 uses a 2m cable instead — so it does not drop into a panel wired for an M8 sensor without a breakout or rewiring. Choose the cable version when you want a continuous run from sensor to terminal block and one less connector to fail in washdown or vibration.
