What this breaker does in a panel
The Siemens 3RV2011-0DA20-ZW97 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in Size S00, designed to protect motor feeders in control panels. Trip Class 10 means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect standard induction motors against locked-rotor heating. The 100 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC lets it interrupt fault currents up to that level without upstream fuses needing to clear, which simplifies coordination in a distribution board. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side will drop the load before single-phasing damages the motor. Mounting is screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, and the spring-loaded terminals accept 2x (0.5…4 mm²) solid or stranded — no screw torque to verify, just strip and insert.
Sizing and clearance notes
The breaker measures 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, 106 mm high. Free space around it: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side, zero forward or backward clearance required. That means it can be packed tightly front-to-back in a shallow enclosure — the depth is all behind the panel face. Mounting position is any, so vertical or horizontal rail orientation works. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport tolerate -50 to +80 °C.
