SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker, frame size S00
The Siemens 3RV2011-0GA20-ZW97 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection, with a compact frame size S00. It mounts via screw and snap-on onto a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, making it a direct fit for standard industrial panels. Rated Trip Class 10, it clears overloads within 10 seconds at 7.2× setting current — the standard for protecting standard induction motors against locked-rotor conditions without nuisance tripping during normal starts. Breaking capacity reaches 100 kA at 400 V AC and 690 V AC, providing high fault-current interruption capability that supports selective coordination downstream without cascading upstream breakers. Phase failure detection is built in, so the breaker trips on loss of one phase — critical for preventing single-phasing damage on three-phase motor loads.
Integration and mounting
Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 106 mm high, and 97 mm deep, with required clearances of 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the sides, and zero forward or backward clearance needed. The compact footprint leaves room for adjacent devices in a crowded enclosure. Main circuit connections use spring-loaded terminals, accepting 2x (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded wire. A 3 mm screwdriver shaft is specified for the terminal screws. Mounting position is any, giving flexibility for horizontal or vertical busbar arrangements in the panel.
