The Siemens 3RV2011-0HA20-ZX95 is a SIRIUS motor protection circuit breaker in the Size S00 frame, designed for motor branch-circuit protection in control panels. It combines overload and short-circuit protection in one device, saving a DIN rail slot compared to a separate contactor and fuse arrangement. Rated for 100 kA short-circuit current at 400 V AC, this breaker clears faults up to that level without cascading upstream — critical for panel SCCR compliance under UL 508A. The Trip Class 10 rating means it trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting, matching standard motor starting curves for pumps, fans, and conveyors. Phase failure detection is built in, so a single-phased motor sees a faster trip than a three-phase overload alone would provide. That's a differentiator over basic thermal-magnetic breakers that lack phase-loss sensing.
Mounting and wiring
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The Size S00 footprint — 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep, 106 mm tall — fits standard panel layouts. Any mounting position is allowed, so vertical or horizontal rail orientation works. Spring-loaded terminals on the main circuit accept 2× (0.5 to 4 mm²) solid or stranded wire. No screw torque to verify — just strip to 8 mm and push in. The screwdriver shaft for the auxiliary terminal block is 3 mm diameter with a 3.0 × 0.5 mm tip. Clearance distances: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm to the side, 0 mm forwards and backwards. That 0 mm backwards means it can sit flush against a backplate or another device.
