Motor protection breaker with Class 10 trip and 100 kA SCCR
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-0KA20-ZX95 is a motor-protection circuit breaker with a Class 10 trip characteristic, meaning it disconnects the motor within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — fast enough to protect standard induction motors from locked-rotor heating. It is rated 0.2 kW at 230 V AC (1 hp at 460/480 V, 0.5 hp at 575/600 V) and carries a 100 kA short-circuit breaking capacity across the 240–690 V range, so it safely interrupts high-fault currents without cascading upstream. Phase failure detection is built in, which prevents single-phasing damage on three-phase motor loads. The main circuit connects via spring-loaded terminals; no screw tightening needed on the power side. Mounting is screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The unit occupies 45 mm width on the rail, with 97 mm depth and 106 mm height. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above and below, 30 mm to the side, and zero forward or backward — so it fits tightly against the back panel.
