Motor protection circuit breaker, 100 kA SCCR
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-1AA10-ZX95 is a motor protection circuit breaker rated for 100 kA short-circuit breaking capacity at 400 V AC — that means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 100,000 A without upstream fuses needing to clear first. Trip Class 10 means it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× rated current, which is standard for protecting standard induction motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on the inrush. Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail (DIN EN 60715) with either screw or snap-on fastening, so it drops into any standard panel without extra brackets. 45 mm wide — fits the standard 45 mm module width, leaving room for contactors and overloads in the same row.
Sourcing & lifecycle
Current production. This is the standard catalog part, not a phase-out or NRND line item. Available to quote against an RFQ through independent distribution channels — no long lead-time risk for a BOM freeze.
Mounting & integration
Screw-type terminals for the main circuit accept 2× 0.75–2.5 mm² solid/stranded or 2× 4 mm² per terminal. Mounting position any — horizontal or vertical in the panel, no derating needed for orientation. Clearance: 50 mm above/below, 30 mm to the side, zero forward/backward. Ambient range -20 to +60 °C operating, storage -50 to +80 °C.
