Motor protection circuit breaker, SIRIUS series
The Siemens 3RV2011-1DA15-ZX95 is a SIRIUS-series motor protection circuit breaker designed for motor protection. It provides Class 10 trip protection, meaning it will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the thermal setting — the standard for protecting standard induction motors during locked-rotor starts. Phase failure detection is built in, so a lost phase on the line side will trip the breaker before single-phasing damages the motor winding. Rated for a supply voltage range of 20 to 690 V, it carries a 100 kA short-circuit breaking capacity at 240 V, 400 V, and 500 V, dropping to 10 kA at 690 V. That SCCR means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to those levels without upstream fusing — though for 690 V applications the lower 10 kA rating may require coordination with a backup fuse. The fuse backup ratings are specified: gL/gG 25 A at 400 V and 690 V, gL/gG 32 A at 500 V.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width (three 15 mm modules) fits standard panel layout grids. Any mounting position is permitted, with minimum clearances of 50 mm upward and downward, 30 mm to the side, and zero forward/backward clearance required. Terminal capacity accepts 2× (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) or 2× (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire; main contact screws are M3. Dimensions are 97 mm depth, 45 mm width, 97 mm height — a compact footprint that fits alongside other SIRIUS control gear on the same DIN rail. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C.
