The Siemens SIRIUS 3RV2011-1EA10-ZW96 is a motor protection circuit breaker with Trip Class 10, sized for motor branch circuits where fast overload response is needed — Class 10 trips within 10 seconds at 7.2× Ie, protecting standard induction motors from locked-rotor heat buildup. Rated breaking capacity hits 100 kA at 400 V and 500 V, so it handles high-fault-current panels without cascading upstream. Phase failure detection is built in; ground fault detection is not — plan separate GF protection if the application requires it.
DIN rail fit and panel space
Width is 45 mm — three of these sit in the space of one 4-pole contactor. Depth is 97 mm, height 97 mm. Mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 via screw and snap-on. Clearance: 50 mm upward and downward, 30 mm to the side, 0 mm forward and backward. Any mounting position works.
Ratings and so-what
Fuse backup ratings: gL/gG 32 A at 400 V and 500 V, dropping to 25 A at 690 V. Operating temperature range -20 to +60 °C; storage -50 to +80 °C. Terminal capacity: 2×(0.75…2.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2×4 mm². Main contact screw size M3. Maximum switching frequency at AC-3 is 15 operations per hour.
