What this part is and what it does
The Siemens 3RV2011-1GA25 is a SIRIUS motor-protective circuit breaker designed for motor protection. It combines a circuit breaker and overload relay in one device, with phase failure detection built in. The Class 10 trip curve means it clears a stalled-rotor condition fast enough to protect standard induction motors — that's the trip class you want for a pump, fan, or conveyor motor that doesn't need a soft-start delay. Rated 6.3 A at both 480 V and 600 V, it carries a 100 kA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) at 400 V and 500 V — meaning it safely interrupts faults up to that level without cascading upstream. At 690 V the interrupting capacity drops to 4 kA, so verify the available fault current if you're on a 690 V system.
Mounting and integration
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. The 45 mm width means it takes up one standard 45 mm slot on the rail — that's another SKU that fits the same footprint as the rest of the SIRIUS 3RV2 line. Depth is 97 mm, height 106 mm. Mounting position is any, which helps when you're packing a tight gland plate. Terminals are spring-loaded, accepting 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) solid or stranded wire. No screw torque to verify — just strip 8 mm and push in. The clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards and downwards, 30 mm at the side for heat dissipation and arc clearance.
