Line protection MCCB — 100 A, 3-pole, TM210 release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1010-2ED32-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. Breaking capacity is 32 kA at 415 V AC, which drops to 13.6 kA at 440 V and 7.5 kA at 690 V — the 415 V figure is the one that governs for most European 400 V distribution panels. At 240 V it interrupts 52.5 kA, so it handles high-fault points near the transformer secondary without issue. That keeps the part simple and reliable for basic feeder or branch protection where you don't need selectivity curves or remote trip signalling. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C, with a slight derating curve above 55 °C — at 65 °C it still carries 92 A, at 70 °C it's 90 A.
Width is 76.2 mm, depth 70 mm, height 130 mm. The 70 mm depth leaves clearance for rear busbar connections in a shallow enclosure. Terminal design accepts copper or aluminium conductors; torque ratings follow the Siemens installation manual.
Thermal derating note
At 55 °C it derates to 96 A, at 60 °C to 94 A, at 65 °C to 92 A, at 70 °C to 90 A. The mechanical endurance is 15,000 operations — that's the latching cycle count, not the electrical switching life under load.
