What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VM1132-4ED42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection at 32 A continuous current (Iu). It carries a TM210 thermal-magnetic release, adjustable up to 320 A for the short-circuit pickup (li max). The interrupting ratings tell you where this breaker fits: 121 kA at 240 V AC, 76 kA at 415 V AC, 53 kA at 440 V AC, and 11.9 kA at 500 V AC. That 121 kA at 240 V means it can safely clear a fault on a high-capacity transformer secondary without the arc re-striking — critical for panel selectivity studies. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 690 V AC, and the maximum operational voltage on DC circuits is 500 V. The breaker is rated for use in ambient temperatures from -25 °C to 70 °C; the current rating holds at 32 A up to 50 °C, then derates to 30 A at 65–70 °C.
Integration and panel fit
Dimensions: 101.6 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep. Front face rated IP40. No communication module is built in, and no motor drive or ground-fault monitoring option is fitted on this variant. The overcurrent release is the TM210 thermal-magnetic type — fixed thermal, adjustable magnetic. If you need electronic trip or communication, you step up to the 3VA series.
