The Siemens 5SL4625-6 is a SENTRON miniature circuit breaker rated 25 A with a B-curve tripping characteristic, 3P+N poles, and a 10 kA breaking capacity at 400 V AC per both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2. That 10 kA rating means it safely interrupts fault currents up to that level without upstream cascading — standard for residential and light commercial distribution boards. The B-curve trips between 3 and 5 times rated current, so it's sized for resistive and general-purpose loads where you want fast clearing on moderate overloads, not the inrush tolerance of a C-curve.
Panel fit and wiring
Snap-on DIN rail mount, any position. At 72 mm wide (4 modular width units), it occupies four standard 18 mm slots in the distribution board. Depth is 76 mm, installation depth 70 mm — verify gland plate clearance if retrofitting into a shallow enclosure. IP20 with connected conductors; pollution degree 2 and overvoltage category III, which covers fixed-installation downstream of the main distribution. Sealable, halogen-free, silicon-free — relevant for clean-room or sensitive-environment builds where outgassing matters.
