25 A C-curve MCB for three-phase + neutral protection
The Siemens SENTRON 5SL4625-7 is a 4-pole miniature circuit breaker (3P+N) rated 25 A with a C tripping characteristic, designed for 400 V AC multi-phase circuits. It carries a 10 kA breaking capacity rated under both EN 60898 and IEC 60947-2, so it handles residential and light commercial fault levels without cascading upstream. The C-curve trips between 5× and 10× rated current, making it a standard fit for general-purpose loads like lighting, socket outlets, and small motor circuits where inrush isn't extreme. At 25 A and 400 V, this 3P+N breaker covers three-phase loads with a switched neutral — common in European distribution boards.
Panel fit and mounting
Snaps onto DIN rail in any mounting position. At 72 mm wide (4 modular width units), it occupies four standard 18 mm slots. Depth is 76 mm with a 70 mm installation depth behind the panel face — check enclosure depth if retrofitting into a shallow board. IP20 with connected conductors, so it's intended for enclosed distribution boards, not washdown areas. Sealable design (padlockable toggle) for lockout/tagout. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction matters if the panel sits in a cleanroom or a corrosive environment where outgassing could cause contact issues.
Breaking capacity and coordination
Rated 10 kA under both EN 60898 (domestic standard) and IEC 60947-2 (industrial standard). That dual rating means it's accepted in residential infrastructure and light industrial sub-distribution alike. Energy limitation class 3 keeps let-through energy low enough for most downstream equipment to survive a fault without damage. Overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2 suit fixed-installation panels where transient overvoltages from the mains are expected. The 440 V maximum operating voltage gives headroom on a 400 V nominal supply.
