Breaking capacity — what the dual rating means for your panel
The 25 kA rating under IEC 60947-2 is the industrial-grade figure — it certifies the breaker can clear higher fault currents typical in factory power distribution without welding contacts or failing to interrupt. If your panel's fault study shows a PSCC above 15 kA but below 25 kA, this breaker still fits because the 60947-2 rating governs. The UL 1077 supplementary protector rating of 5 kA is relevant only for North American listed panels where the breaker serves as supplementary protection behind a branch-circuit OCPD.
Mounting position is any orientation. Combined top and bottom terminals allow feed-through wiring from either direction. Neutral conductor is switched, so this 3P+N breaker disconnects the neutral as well as the three phases — required for TN-S or TT systems where neutral isolation matters.
Rated for ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +75 °C, with humidity influence derating per: max 95% RH up to 55 °C, tapering to 35% RH at 75 °C. Halogen-free and silicon-free construction.
