CPU 314 for S7-300 rack
The Siemens 6ES7314-1AG14-0AB0 is a SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 314 that snaps onto the standard DIN rail in the S7-300 rack, occupying a single-width slot at 40 mm wide, 125 mm tall, and 130 mm deep. It supports up to 256 digital inputs and 256 digital outputs, with a work memory of 256 byte that is not expandable. Programming requires STEP 7 V5.2 SP1 or higher with the corresponding HW update.
Work memory and retentive data
The integrated work memory is 0 byte; the 256 byte work memory is the maximum size available and cannot be expanded via a memory card. Retentive memory is present and must be restarted at each restart; the retentive range is adjustable from 10 to 499, with a preset of 10 and an overall size of 12. The retentive memory covers inputs, outputs, memory bits, DBs, times, and counters.
Communication interfaces
The CPU 314 includes an MPI interface and an RS 485 interface for PROFIBUS DP, supporting operation as both a DP client and a DP server. PROFIBUS DP communication via CP and loadable FC is supported; PROFIsafe is not supported. Up to 4 CP connections via LAN, 10 via LAN, and 8 via PtP are possible; routing is not supported and the interface is not isolated.
