PM250 power module — overload curves and regenerative bus
The 6SL3225-0BE31-5UA0 is a SINAMICS G120 Power Module PM250 without filter, rated for 15 kW high overload (HO) and 18.5 kW light overload (LO) on a 380-480 VAC, 47-63 Hz supply. The HO duty cycle delivers 200 % current for 3 s, 150 % for 57 s, and 100 % for 240 s — enough to start a loaded conveyor or pump without oversizing the drive. The LO cycle gives 150 % for 3 s, 110 % for 57 s, and 100 % for 240 s, suited for variable-torque fans where peak demand is brief. This PM250 variant supports regenerative operation — the DC bus can return braking energy to the line, eliminating the need for an external braking resistor on applications with frequent deceleration or overhauling loads. The input accepts 380-480 VAC +10/-10 %, 47-63 Hz, covering standard 400 V and 480 V industrial mains without a transformer.

Export control is AL: N / ECCN: 9N9999, so no special license is needed for most industrial shipments. RoHS compliance dates from May 2016; the part contains lead (CAS 7439-92-1) above 0.1 % w/w per REACH Article 33, which must be declared in the supply chain documentation.
Frame size, mounting, and ambient limits
Ambient temperature range is 0 to +50 °C for HO rating and 0 to +40 °C for LO rating. The drive derates above these limits per the SINAMICS G120 manual — if the cabinet internal temperature exceeds 40 °C, the LO output current must be reduced or forced ventilation added.
