Drive module for high-power cabinet builds
The ABB 3ABD00039315-D is an LV AC industrial single drive module rated for 250 kW normal use at 505 A output, with a heavy-duty rating of 200 kW at 361 A. It accepts 380–415 V three-phase input at 47.5–63 Hz and is built in an R10 frame with IP20 protection.
The heavy-duty current (IhD) of 361 A at 200 kW is the rating for higher overload demands — if your motor load requires sustained torque above the normal curve, size to the heavy-duty line. The light-overload rating (485 A, 250 kW) sits between the two and covers applications with infrequent overloads. Efficiency class IE2 means the module meets the baseline industrial motor-drive efficiency standard. For newer installations targeting IE3 or IE4, this module still works but may not be the most energy-optimized choice for continuous full-load operation.
Integration into a cabinet
The R10 frame is a standard cabinet-mount module with IP20 finger-safe protection. Mounting is module-style — it slides into a panel with appropriate bus-bar and cooling provisions. The open-type NEMA enclosure means the module is not self-contained — it relies on the surrounding cabinet for environmental sealing. Ensure the panel has adequate airflow for the 250 kW dissipation; forced cooling is typical at this power level.
