What this drive module is
It's the power stage for a 3-phase system rated 380-415 V input, delivering 315 kW under normal use (585 A output) and 250 kW under heavy-duty use (429 A output). Light-overload rating matches the normal-use figure at 315 kW (575 A).
The product lifecycle is marked as current and active. ABB still manufactures this drive module.
The normal-use current of 585 A is the rating for typical variable-torque loads (pumps, fans) where the drive can run continuously at that current. Heavy-duty use at 429 A is for constant-torque loads (conveyors, extruders) that demand full torque at low speed.
Mounts as a module, not a standalone cabinet — the Open Type NEMA rating and IP20 mean it's intended for panel builders to integrate into a larger enclosure that meets the final IP rating. The R10 frame is a large drive; plan for adequate cabinet cooling and bus bar connections. The WEEE category is 4 (Large Equipment), so end-of-life recycling obligations apply in EU markets.
